RULES & GUIDELINES

A Two-Day Dance Team Experience Built for Breakthrough

REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY

  • All participants must register through episodesdance.com.

  • Registration is open to individual dancers and full teams from middle school, high school, and collegiate programs.

  • Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts.

  • A dancer’s age is determined by their age on the first day of the event they are attending.

  • Space in each level is limited to ensure class quality and safety. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

  • We reserve the right to change all rules and regulations at any time without notice.

LEVEL PLACEMENT: ELEVATE & EVOLVE

  • Dancers are placed into one of two training levels:

    • Elevate – For middle school, junior varsity, and intermediate-level dancers

    • Evolve – For advanced varsity dancers and those preparing for college dance programs

  • Staff reserves the right to adjust level placements if needed to maintain appropriate class environments.

 EVENT FORMAT & CLASS STRUCTURE

Each Episode is structured to provide a balanced, high-level training experience focused on performance, technical development, and artistry:

  • Scenes 1–3: Choreography blocks in Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop

  • Technique Classes: Focused training in turns, leaps, transitions, and strength

  • Spotlight Sessions: Master classes led by elite instructors from the dance team, commercial, and professional industries

  • Dancer Seminars: Choice-based breakout sessions on topics like leadership, mindset, recruitment, and career planning

EVALUATIONS & “PIN IT TO WIN IT”

  • Dancers are assigned to a staff mentor group for the full event. These mentors offer personal guidance, encouragement, and check-ins.

  • Throughout the weekend, dancers may receive verbal evaluations and class feedback from instructors.

  • At the end of each class, dancers may choose to pass one Fan Favorite pin to another dancer who inspired them.

  • For every TWO pins a dancer receives, they earn one raffle entry toward FREE SOLO CHOREOGRAPHY!

  • Only pins that are passed by a fellow dancer count toward entries.

  • The raffle drawing takes place during the Episode Finale on Day Two.

V.E.P. DANCER RECOGNITION (Very Elevated Person)

  • At the conclusion of each class, instructors may select one or more V.E.P. dancers.

  • A dancer may only be chosen as a V.E.P. once per event.

  • V.E.P. dancers receive:

    • A V.E.P. T-shirt

    • An invitation to perform in the Episode Finale

    • A Single Event Scholarship (see below)
